- Briggs site and Dragonfly Bend, 2009 Responding to a request from The Nature Conservancy (TNC), several volunteers from NABA conducted twice-monthly surveys of butterflies from May to October in 2009 at the Briggs Farm Site, managed by TNC, and at Dragonfly Bend, owned and managed by the city of Eugene. Both sites are habitat restoration sites, thus counts and observations of the nectaring of butterflies is essential for determining the success of the restoration efforts.
- Briggs site and Dragonfly Bend, 2010 As in 2009, several volunteers from our NABA chapter conducted twice-monthly surveys of butterflies from April to October in 2010 at the Briggs Farm Site, managed by TNC, and at Dragonfly Bend, owned and managed by the city of Eugene.
- Coyote Prairie, 2011 In 2011, a volunteer group from our NABA chapter surveyed the butterfly population at Coyote Prairie. Coyote Prairie, located on Cantrell Road about four miles west of the Eugene city limits, is a 240 acre site managed for wetlands restoration by the City of Eugene, Parks and Open Space Division.
- Coyote Prairie, 2012 As in 2011, a volunteer group from our NABA chapter conducted twice-monthly surveys of the butterfly population at Coyote Prairie.
- Willow Creek, 2013 In 2013, a volunteer group from our NABA chapter conducted twice-monthly surveys of the butterfly population at Willow Creek Preserve.
- Confluence of the Middle and Coast Forks of the Willamette River, 2014 In 2014, a volunteer group from our NABA chapter surveyed the butterfly population in the Nature Conservancy’s “Confluence” preserve – near the confluence of the Middle and Coast forks of the Willamette River.
- Wild Iris Ridge, 2015 In 2015, a volunteer group from our NABA chapter conducted twice-monthly surveys of the butterfly population at Wild Iris Ridge.
