Monarch Watch at Golden Gardens

Come to this short event on Sunday, June 22, at 5PM (note change from June 21 due to weather) to see the native Showy Milkweed plants that our club is stewarding at Golden Gardens Park. We went out there in the first week of June to flag the milkweed patches so they will be safe when the park is mowed the week of June 23. We will look for any milkweed plants we might have missed and also look for monarch butterflies and their eggs, caterpillars, and chrysalids. June is the month when monarchs typically come through Eugene, so we are going to go look for them.

As we have previously mentioned, our club has signed a 2 year agreement with the City of Eugene to adopt and steward the milkweed patches growing in Golden Gardens Park on the northern edge of the Bethel neighborhood.

If you would like to join us on June 22, please let us know through the Contact Us form.
